Church/School Partnerships Benefits At-Risk Students

Kids Hope USA develops one-on-one relationships through the creation of church/school partnerships that pair church members with at-risk kids in supportive, mentoring relationships.

“Our Kid’s Hope mentoring program is currently in two school districts; serving Muraski Elementary in Strongsville and Huntington Elementary in Brunswick,” said the Rev. Christopher Liberati, associate pastor of Strongsville United Methodist Church (North Coast District).

“We have over 50 mentors engaged in our communities and each mentor has a prayer partner,” he said.

The time spent together is valuable for all involved: the child, their adult mentor, the schools, and their partnering church.

Kids Hope was recently the subject of 60 Seconds with the Superintendent, a production of the Strongsville City School District.
