The Conference Council on Youth Ministries met this weekend to review the future of Youth Annual Conference, including proposals from Lakeside Chautauqua for 2021. With East Ohio Annual Conference relocating next year, Lakeside Chautauqua will now start its Summer season the same weekend as Youth Annual Conference. This creates barriers for the event, such as housing availability, gate fees, and limited use of Hoover Auditorium. Holding YAC at Lakeside Chautauqua on a weekend in June is no longer feasible.

CCYM discussed options and voted to relocate Youth Annual Conference 2021 to Ashland University, June 11-13. We are excited at the possibilities that AU provides and are sure that we can create a cost-effective event with a similar atmosphere of quality worship and fellowship for teens that they have experienced for the last 40 years.
