Update: February 17, 2014

Twelve couples were married and two couples renewed their vows on Valentine’s Day in The Chapel of the Bells at Trinity United Methodist Church (Mahoning Valley District).  This is the second year the Rev. Jerry Krueger and his wife, the Rev. Susan Brown of Canfield United Methodist Church officiated walk-in weddings on the most romantic day of the year.  Once again the $50 fee for each wedding was donated to the Good Shepherd Kitchen in Youngstown and Operation Blessing in Canfield.  The ceremonies were attended by 200 people and were featured in The Youngstown Vindicator, and on WKBN and WFMJ.

The Chapel of the Bells at Trinity United Methodist Church (Mahoning Valley District) in Youngstown will once again this Valentine’s Day become the chapel of love for many couples.

Rev. Jerry Krueger and his wife, the Rev. Susan Brown of Canfield United Methodist Church (Mahoning Valley District) will officiate walk-in weddings and wedding vow renewals on the most romantic day of the year.

Couples must bring their wedding license, identification and the $50 wedding fee in cash.  The money from each wedding will be donated to the Good Shepherd Kitchen in Youngstown and Operation Blessing in Canfield.

The second year of walk-in weddings at Chapel of the Bells is a hot topic in Youngstown.
