Players and prayers filled the athletic field behind Otterbein Navarre United Methodist Church (Central Valley District) on Monday and Tuesday evenings this summer courtesy of the New Way Athletic Conference. The creation of New Way United Methodist Church (Central Valley District) Pastor Keith Brown and his son Mason, the athletic conference hosted a four-team softball league that concluded its season on July 22. Nearly 200 people attended the championship game that day, cheering on both teams during the game and celebrating an on-field baptism Brown performed not long after the last out had been made.

The Conference Communications team would like to share other stories that highlight ways that each of us is answering the call to reach out to our communities in creative ways. Please e-mail your ministry story to EOC Executive Director of Communications Rick Wolcott at wolcott@eocumc.com.
