A team of clergy and laity from the East Ohio Conference led by Bishop Tracy S. Malone joined students and faculty on the campus of Africa University to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the school that is “shaping Africa – yesterday, today, and tomorrow.”
The East Ohio delegation was part of an 85-person traveling party of UMC bishops, conference and agency staff, and pastors and lay persons from the United States that celebrated both the milestone anniversary of the United Methodist related-university and the inauguration of its fifth vice chancellor, the Rev. Dr. Peter Mageto.
