Michelle Anderson is the new director of Benefits & Human Resources for the East Ohio Conference.
She succeeds the recently retired Betsy Stewart but in a role that adds Human Resources to the Benefits portfolio. Anderson brings to this new position 26 years of HR experience with non-profit agencies and organizations of higher education.
“Michelle brings a breadth and depth of experience to the Conference that will benefit our clergy, churches, faith communities and employees as the areas of benefits and services evolve. Her experience in Human Resources will enhance the ways that we provide services and solutions to the challenges we face. We look forward to having Michelle contribute her insight and creativity to these challenges. She is a welcome addition to our team,” said Director of Financial & Administrative Services Vera Rebrovich.
“Intentional effort has been given to expand the Benefits position to include a Human Resources component. We look forward to the skills, experience and the expertise that Michelle will bring to her new role and we welcome her to the East Ohio Conference,” said Bishop Tracy S. Malone.
Anderson grew up attending churches of different denominations and considers the opportunity to work for the Conference to be a calling from God.
“It is a privilege to serve God’s people. My desire in this role is to be the embodiment of Christ and to serve with the heart and love of the Savior,” Anderson said.
She earned her MBA in Management Business Systems from Baldwin Wallace University and is certified SHRM-SCP by the Society of HR Management. When not at work, Anderson works with several civic organizations and enjoys travelling, reading, and trying new foods.
She is the mother of an adult daughter.
